At Tyson Ingredient Solutions, we responsibly use parts of chickens to make high-quality ingredients that go into animal feed, pet food, human food, and other specialty products.

How Rendering Works

Every order is tested and checked before it leaves our facility, minimizing out-of-spec orders. All of our plants are located in key areas, making order fulfillment convenient. All of our protein conversion facilities are certified under the Animal Protein Producers Industry (APPI) code of practice and American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) Safe Food/Safe Feed certification.

History

1948

The Harmony plant is built by Veterans Grease. The Tallow plant is built by Ralph Wright Sr.

1950

The Seguin plant is built by Reneau Poultry and Egg.

1961

Holly Farms acquires the Harmony and Tallow plants.

1962

The Forest plant is built by Central Byproducts, later acquired by Central Industries, Inc., a cooperative made up of BC Rogers Poultry, McCarty Farms, Lady Forest, Choctaw Maid, and Marshall Durbin.
